Saad said, "If I saw a man with my wife, I would strike him with the sword, not with its flat side."Word of this reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, "Are you amazed at Saad's jealousy? By Allah, I am more jealous than he is, and Allah is more jealous than I am. It is because of Allah's jealousy that He forbade indecencies, both open and hidden. No person is more jealous than Allah, and no person loves an excuse more than Allah. It is for that reason that Allah sent the messengers as bearers of good tidings and as warners. And no person loves praise more than Allah. It is for that reason that Allah promised Paradise."Abu Abdul-Rahman said that Ubaydullah al-Qawariri said, "There is no hadith harder on the Jahmiyyah than this hadith, his words, 'No person loves praise more than Allah.'"
Its isnad is sahih. It has already been given in full in the hadith of lian. See Sahih Bukhari 9/151, Shab edition, in the chapter on Tawhid, on the saying of the Prophet ﷺ, "No one is more jealous than Allah." And Muslim 2/1136, no. 1499, at the beginning of the book of Lian.
