Mughira bin Shuba led us in prayer. After completing two units, he stood up without sitting. Those behind him said "Subhan Allah" to alert him, but he gestured for them to remain standing. When he finished his prayer, he gave the salutation, then performed two prostrations, then said, "This is what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did with us."
حدثنا يزيد أخبرنا المسعودي
صلى بنا المغيرة بن شعبة فلما صلى ركعتين قام ولم يجلس فسبح به من خلفه فأشار إليهم أن قوموا فلما فرغ من صلاته سلم ثم سجد سجدتين ثم قال هكذا صنع بنا رسول الله ﷺ
Its isnad is sahih. Masudi is Abdul-Rahman bin Abdullah bin Utba bin Masud. Ahmad, Ibn Main, and Ibn Abu Shayba all deemed him reliable. Some scholars only considered him daif because his memory became confused toward the end of his life, but Ahmad said, "They accepted hearing narrations from him."
