The Messenger of Allah ﷺ departed from Arafat with Usama bin Zayd riding behind him. While he was standing at Arafat before departing, his she-camel started moving about restlessly, yet he kept his hands raised in supplication, not extending them above his head.When he set out, he proceeded at a calm pace until he reached Jam (Muzdalifah). He then departed from Jam with Fadl riding behind him.Fadl said, "The Prophet ﷺ continued to recite the talbiyah until he threw the pebbles at the Jamrah."
حدثنا يعلى ومحمد ابنا عبيد قالا ثنا عبد الملك عن عطاء عن عبد الله بن عباس
أفاض رسول الله ﷺ من عرفات وأسامة بن زيد ردفه فجالت به الناقة وهو واقف بعرفات قبل أن يفيض وهو رافع يديه لا تجاوزان رأسه فلما أفاض سار على هينته حتى أتى جمعا ثم أفاض من جمع والفضل ردفه قال الفضل ما زال النبي ﷺ يلبي حتى رمى الجمرة
Its isnad is sahih. Muhammad bin Ubayd Tanafisi, discussed previously at 834. His brother Yaala bin Ubayd Tanafisi, mentioned previously at 1516.The word "the two sons" was corrupted in Ain to "he informed us," an abbreviation of "he told us," which made it meaningless.Abdul-Malik is Ibn Abu Sulayman Arzami.Bukhari related the hadith in similar wording, 3:425, through the route of Zuhri, from Ubaydullah bin Abdullah bin Abbas. See also 1820 and 1829."Ala hinatihi," with the ha vowelled with a kasrah, meaning calmly and gently.In Kaf, "his rider mounted behind him" appears in place of "he mounted him behind" in both places.
