Two women were married to the same man, and one of them became jealous and struck the other with a tent pole, killing her. The matter was brought before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and one of them said, "Messenger of Allah, how can we pay blood-money for one who neither ate, nor drank, nor cried out, nor showed any sign of life?"The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Is this rhymed prose like that of the bedouins?"He then ruled that a ghurrah be paid for the unborn child, and he placed the obligation upon the woman's paternal kin.
حدثنا عفان حدثنا شعبة قال منصور أخبرني قال سمعت إبراهيم يحدث عن عبيد بن نضيلة
أن امرأتين كانتا تحت رجل فغارتا فضربتها بعمود فسطاط فقتلتها فاختصموا إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال أحدهما يا رسول الله كيف ندي من لا أكل ولا شرب ولا صاح فاستهل فقال النبي ﷺ أسجع كسجع الأعراب قال فقضى فيه غرة قال وجعله على عاقلة المرأة
