Kaab bin Ujra reported,

I was with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he mentioned a tribulation and described it as imminent. A man passed by with his head covered, and the Prophet said, "On that day, this man will be upon guidance."So I followed the man until I caught hold of his upper arms, turned his face toward the Prophet, uncovered his head, and said, "This one, Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "Yes."It turned out to be Uthman bin Affan .

عن كعب بن عجرة قال

كنت عند رسول الله ﷺ فذكر فتنة فقربها فمر رجل متقنع فقال هذا يومئذ على الهدى قال فاتبعته حتى أخذت بضبعيه فحولت وجهه إليه وكشفت عن رأسه وقلت هذا يا رسول الله قال نعم فإذا هو عثمان بن عفان رضي الله عنه
