The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent us out on a military expedition and said, "Go forth in the name of Allah, in the cause of Allah. Do not steal from the spoils, do not break your pledges, do not mutilate, and do not kill a child. The traveler may wipe over his leather socks for three days, and the resident for one day and night."Affan said in his version of the hadith, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me."

بعثنا رسول الله ﷺ في سرية فقال اغزوا بسم الله في سبيل الله ولا تغلوا ولا تغدروا ولا تمثلوا ولا تقتلوا وليدا للمسافر ثلاث مسح على الخفين وللمقيم يوم وليلة قال عفان في حديثه بعثني رسول الله ﷺ
