The Prophet ﷺ sent sacrificial animals with Ubayy and said, "If any of them is about to perish, slaughter it, then dip its hoof in its blood and strike its side with it. Neither you nor your companions are to eat from it. Leave it for the people."

بعث النبي ﷺ مع أبي هديا قال إذا عطب شيء منها فانحره ثم اضرب خفه في دمه ثم اضرب به صفحته ولا تأكل أنت ولا أهل رفقتك وخل بينه وبين الناس
