Amr bin Kharija reported,

I asked the Prophet ﷺ about a sacrificial animal that becomes disabled on the way. He said, "Slaughter it, dip its sandal in its blood, and strike its side with it," or he said, "its flank, and do not eat any of it yourself, nor should your companions eat from it."

سألت النبي ﷺ عن الهدي يعطب قال انحره واصبغ نعله في دمه واضرب به على صفحته أو قال على جنبه ولا تأكلن منه شيئا أنت ولا أهل رفقتك
