Kaab bin Mura reported,

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ speak when a man came to him and said, "Ask Allah to send rain for Mudar."He said, "You are certainly bold. For Mudar?"The man said, "Messenger of Allah, you sought Allah's help and He helped you, and you called upon Allah and He answered you."So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ raised his hands and prayed, "Allah, give us rain that relieves, abundant and wholesome, spreading and plentiful, coming quickly and not delayed, beneficial and not harmful."And they were revived.It was not long before they came to him complaining about the heavy rain, saying, "The houses have collapsed."So he raised his hands and said, "Allah, around us and not upon us."Then the clouds began to break apart to the right and to the left.

وقال سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول وجاءه رجل فقال استسق الله لمضر قال فقال إنك لجريء ألمضر قال يا رسول الله استنصرت الله عز وجل فنصرك ودعوت الله عز وجل فأجابك قال فرفع رسول الله ﷺ يديه يقول اللهم اسقنا غيثا مغيثا مريعا مريئا طبقا غدقا عاجلا غير رائث نافعا غير ضار قال فأحيوا قال فما لبثوا أن أتوه فشكوا إليه كثرة المطر فقالوا قد تهدمت البيوت قال فرفع يديه وقال اللهم حوالينا ولا علينا قال فجعل السحاب يتقطع يمينا وشمالا
