They embraced Islam, and he was among those who became Muslim. They then sent their delegation to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with their pledge of allegiance and their declaration of Islam, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ accepted that from them.They said, "Messenger of Allah, we are who you know, and we have come from where you know, and we have embraced Islam. So who is our patron?"He replied, "Allah and His Messenger."They said, "That is enough for us. We are content."
حدثنا يزيد بن عبد ربه قال حدثنا الوليد بن مسلم قال حدثنا الأوزاعي
أنهم أسلموا وكان فيمن أسلم فبعثوا وفدهم إلى رسول الله ﷺ ببيعتهم وإسلامهم فقبل ذلك رسول الله ﷺ منهم فقالوا يا رسول الله نحن من قد عرفت وجئنا من حيث قد علمت وأسلمنا فمن ولينا قال الله ورسوله قالوا حسبنا رضينا
Its isnad is sahih. Abdullah bin Firuz Daylami is among the great trustworthy narrators from the generation after the companions, and Walid bin Muslim explicitly said "hadadana" (he told us).Haythami said in 9/406, "Ahmad, Abu Yaala, and Tabarani reported it, and the men of Ahmad's chain are the men of the Sahih, except for Abdullah bin Firuz, who is trustworthy."
