Reported from the Prophet ﷺ that he said, "The best of Allah's servants are those whose sight reminds you of Allah, and the worst of Allah's servants are those who go about spreading malicious gossip, sowing division between loved ones, and seeking to bring hardship upon the innocent."
حدثنا سفيان عن ابن أبي الحسين عن شهر بن حوشب
يبلغ به النبي ﷺ خيار عباد الله الذين إذا رءوا ذكر الله وشرار عباد الله المشاءون بالنميمة المفرقون بين الأحبة الباغون البرآء العنت
Its chain of transmission is hasan, and Haythami [8/93] and Munziri [3/499] graded it hasan.
