The Dari used to give gifts to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He then mentioned the meaning, except that he said, "So they melted it down and turned it into fat, then sold it and used the proceeds to buy food."
حدثنا هاشم بن القاسم قال حدثنا عبد الحميد قال حدثنا شهر
أن الداري كان يهدي لرسول الله ﷺ فذكر معناه إلا أنه قال فأذابوه وجعلوه إهالة فباعوا به ما يأكلون
