The Prophet ﷺ sent two sacrificial camels with him and instructed him that if anything happened to them or they became unable to continue, he should slaughter them, then dip their sandals in their blood, then strike the side of each camel with its own sandal, and leave them for the people, but neither he nor any of his companions were to eat from them.Abdul-Razzaq said, "He used to narrate it as mursal," meaning Muamar from Qatada. "Then I wrote it out for him from the book of Saeed and handed it to him. He looked at it, read it, and said, 'Yes, but I am hesitant when I have not looked at the book myself.'"
حدثنا عبد الرزاق أخبرنا معمر عن قتادة عن سنان بن سلمة عن ابن عباس أن
أن النبي ﷺ بعث معه ببدنتين وأمره إن عرض لهما شيء أو عطبة أن ينحرهما ثم يغمس نعالهما في دمائهما ثم يضرب بنعل كل واحدة صفحتها ويخليهما للناس ولا يأكل منها هو ولا أحد من أصحابه قال عبد الرزاق وكان يقول مرسل يعني معمرا عن قتادة ثم كتبته له من كتاب سعيد فأعطيته فنظر فقرأه فقال نعم ولكني أهاب إذا لم أنظر في الكتاب
