The Prophet ﷺ, whenever he supplicated and raised his hands, would wipe his face with them.Abdullah said, "They differed with Qutayba regarding the chain of this hadith, and I believe Qutayba was mistaken about it. They report it as: from Khallad bin Saaib, from his father."
حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد حدثنا ابن لهيعة عن حفص بن هاشم بن عتبة بن أبي وقاص
أن النبي ﷺ كان إذا دعا فرفع يديه مسح وجهه بيديه قال عبد الله وقد خالفوا قتيبة في إسناد هذا الحديث وأحسب قتيبة وهم فيه يقولون عن خلاد بن السائب عن أبيه
Its isnad is daif. Scholars have said that the error in the chain comes from Ibn Lahia, and Ibn Lahia is deemed daif when he errs. The hadith was narrated in this manner by Abu Dawud, 2/79, no. 1492.
