He heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "Whoever shuns his brother for a year is like one who has shed his blood."
حدثنا عبد الله بن يزيد قال حدثنا حيوة بن شريح حدثنا أبو عثمان الوليد بن أبي الوليد المدني أن عمران بن أبي أنس حدثه
أنه سمع النبي ﷺ يقول من هجر أخاه سنة فهو كسفك دمه
Its isnad is sahih. Walid bin Abu Walid Qurashi, Abu Uthman Madani, was deemed trustworthy by Abu Zura and praised by Abu Dawud. Ibn Hibban said, "Trustworthy, though he sometimes erred." As for Imran bin Abu Anas, he is trustworthy, and his hadith is accepted by the group of scholars except Bukhari in Adab, as mentioned previously.The hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud, 4/279, number 4915, in the chapter on manners, concerning one who shuns his brother, and by Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad, 145, number 404. Hakim graded it sahih, 4/163, and Dhahabi agreed with him.
