A man came to the Prophet ﷺ with some lizards he had hunted. The Prophet ﷺ began looking at them and turning them over, then said, "A nation was transformed, and it is not known what became of them. I do not know, perhaps this creature is from among them."
حدثنا بهز حدثنا شعبة قال أخبرني عدي بن ثابت قال سمعت زيد بن وهب يحدث
جاء رجل إلى النبي ﷺ بضباب قد احترشها قال فجعل ينظر إليه ويقلبه وقال إن أمة مسخت فلا يدرى ما فعلت وإني لا أدري لعل هذا منها
