Uthman bin Abu As was invited to a circumcision ceremony, but he declined to attend. When asked about it, he said, "During the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, we did not attend circumcision ceremonies, nor were we invited to them."
حدثنا محمد بن سلمة الحراني عن ابن إسحاق يعني محمدا عن عبيد الله أو عبيد الله بن طلحة بن كريز
دعي عثمان بن أبي العاص إلى ختان فأبى أن يجيب فقيل له فقال إنا كنا لا نأتي الختان على عهد رسول الله ﷺ ولا ندعى له
