Ibn Abu Umayra reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no soul of a Muslim taken by Allah that would wish to return to you, even if it were given the world and all that is in it, except the martyr."Ibn Abu Umayra said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "To be killed in the path of Allah is more beloved to me than to possess all the dwellings of city and countryside."

أن رسول الله ﷺ قال ما من الناس نفس مسلم يقبضها الله عز وجل تحب أن تعود إليكم وأن لها الدنيا وما فيها غير الشهيد و قال ابن أبي عميرة قال رسول الله ﷺ لأن أقتل في سبيل الله أحب إلي من أن يكون لي المدر والوبر
