I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prostrate during Surah an-Najm, and the people prostrated along with him.Muttalib said, "I did not prostrate with them, for I was a polytheist at that time."Muttalib said, "So I will never abandon prostrating during this surah."
حدثنا عبد الرزاق حدثنا معمر عن ابن طاوس عن عكرمة بن خالد
رأيت رسول الله ﷺ سجد في النجم وسجد الناس معه قال المطلب ولم أسجد معهم وهو يومئذ مشرك قال المطلب فلا أدع السجود فيها أبدا
