I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "When Allah gathers the first and the last on the Day about which there is no doubt, a caller will announce, 'Whoever associated anyone with Allah in a deed he performed for Allah, let him seek his reward from someone other than Allah, for Allah is the most independent of all partners from any partnership.'"
Its chain of transmission is hasan. Ziyadah bin Mina is acceptable. Tirmidhi graded his hadith hasan in 5/314, number 3154, in the tafsir of Surah Kahf, and said, hasan gharib. Ibn Majah recorded it in 2/1406, number 4203, in the chapter on asceticism, on showing off and seeking reputation. Ibn Hibban recorded it as number 2499 in Mawarid, similar to Ibn Majah. Munziri attributed it in Targheeb to those he mentioned, 1/69.
