Shuayb bin Raziq Taifi reported,

I was sitting with a man called Hakam bin Hazn Kilfi, who had been a companion of the Prophet ﷺ. He began to relate to us, saying:I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as one of seven, or one of nine. He gave us permission to enter, so we came in and said, "Messenger of Allah, we have come to you so that you may pray for our good."He prayed for our good, ordered that we be given lodging, and arranged for us to receive a small quantity of dates, as resources were limited at that time.We stayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for several days, during which we attended the Friday prayer. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood leaning on a bow, or perhaps a staff, and praised Allah with brief, good, and blessed words. Then he said, "People, you will not be able to do, nor will you have the capacity for, everything you have been commanded. But aim true and receive glad tidings."

حدثنا الحكم بن موسى قال عبد الله وسمعته أنا من الحكم حدثنا شهاب بن خراش حدثني

شعيب بن رزيق الطائفي قال

كنت جالسا عند رجل يقال له الحكم بن حزن الكلفي وله صحبة من النبي ﷺ قال فأنشأ يحدثنا قال قدمت على رسول الله ﷺ سابع سبعة أو تاسع تسعة قال فأذن لنا فدخلنا فقلنا يا رسول الله أتيناك لتدعو لنا بخير قال فدعا لنا بخير وأمر بنا فأنزلنا وأمر لنا بشيء من تمر والشأن إذ ذاك دون قال فلبثنا عند رسول الله ﷺ أياما شهدنا فيها الجمعة فقام رسول الله ﷺ متوكئا على قوس أو قال على عصا فحمد الله وأثنى عليه كلمات خفيفات طيبات مباركات ثم قال يا أيها الناس إنكم لن تفعلوا ولن تطيقوا كل ما أمرتم به ولكن سددوا وأبشروا
