Abbas reported,

I came in to see the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while his wives were with him, and they all veiled themselves from me except Maymunah.He said, "No one who witnessed the forced administration of medicine shall remain in the house without being given the same treatment, except that my paternal uncle Abbas was not present at the time."Then he said, "Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer."Ayesha said to Hafsah, "Tell him that Abu Bakr is a man who weeps whenever he stands in your place."He said again, "Tell Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer."So Abu Bakr stood up and prayed. Then the Prophet ﷺ felt some relief and came out. Abu Bakr stepped back, intending to withdraw, but the Prophet sat down beside him and continued the recitation.

حدثنا أبو سعيد حدثنا قيس بن الربيع حدثني عبد الله بن أبي السفر عن ابن شرحبيل عن ابن عباس

عن العباس قال

دخلت على رسول الله ﷺ وعنده نساؤه فاستترن مني إلا ميمونة فقال لا يبقى في البيت أحد شهد اللد إلا لد إلا أن يميني لم تصب العباس ثم قال مروا أبا بكر أن يصلي بالناس فقالت عائشة لحفصة قولي له إن أبا بكر رجل إذا قام مقامك بكى قال مروا أبا بكر ليصل بالناس فقام فصلى فوجد النبي ﷺ خفة فجاء فنكص أبو بكر رضي الله عنه فأراد أن يتأخر فجلس إلى جنبه ثم اقترأ
