One of the delegation that came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ narrated to me, and if it was not Qays bin Numan, then I have forgotten his name. He mentioned the hadith and said, "He earnestly supplicated until he faced the qiblah, then he prayed for Abdul-Qays, then he said, 'Indeed, the best of the people of the East are the women of Abdul-Qays.'"

حدثني أحد الوفد الذين وفدوا على رسول الله ﷺ فإن لا يكن قال قيس بن النعمان فإني أنسيت اسمه فذكر الحديث قال وابتهل حتى استقبل القبلة ثم يدعو لعبد القيس ثم قال إن خير أهل المشرق نساء عبد القيس
