Ashaj bin Asr reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "You have two qualities that Allah loves."I asked, "What are they?"He replied, "Forbearance and modesty."I asked, "Are they qualities I have had since long ago, or are they recent?"He answered, "Rather, you have had them since long ago."I said, "Praise be to Allah, who fashioned me upon two qualities that He loves."

أشج بن عصر قال

لي رسول الله ﷺ إن فيك خلتين يحبهما الله عز وجل قلت ما هما قال الحلم والحياء قلت أقديما كان في أم حديثا قال بل قديما قلت الحمد لله الذي جبلني على خلتين يحبهما
