I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "No people among whom usury becomes widespread except that they are stricken with famine, and no people among whom bribery becomes widespread except that they are stricken with terror."
حدثنا موسى بن داود قال أخبرنا ابن لهيعة عن عبد الله بن سليمان عن محمد بن راشد المرادي
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول ما من قوم يظهر فيهم الربا إلا أخذوا بالسنة وما من قوم يظهر فيهم الرشا إلا أخذوا بالرعب

Its chain of transmission is daif, due to the unknown status of Muhammad bin Rashid Muradi. Haythami said in 4/118, "It contains someone I do not recognize." Munziri said in Targheeb 3/180, "Ahmad narrated it with a chain that is questionable."
