There was an alarm in Medina, so I came upon Salim, the freed slave of Abu Huzaifa, who was sitting wrapped in the strap of his sword. I took a sword and wrapped myself in its strap as well.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "People, should your refuge in alarm not have been to Allah and His Messenger?" Then he said, "Why did you not do as these two believing men did?"
حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مهدي عن موسى عن أبيه
كان فزع بالمدينة فأتيت على سالم مولى أبي حذيفة وهو محتب بحمائل سيفه فأخذت سيفا فاحتبيت بحمائله فقال رسول الله ﷺ يا أيها الناس ألا كان مفزعكم إلى الله وإلى رسوله ثم قال ألا فعلتم كما فعل هذان الرجلان المؤمنان
Its chain of transmission is sahih. Haythami said in 9/300, "Its narrators are the narrators of Sahih [Bukhari and Muslim]."
