The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The one who recites the Quran quietly is like the one who gives charity in secret, and the one who recites the Quran aloud is like the one who gives charity openly."
قال أبو عبد الرحمن وجدت هذا الحديث في كتاب أبي بخط يده كتب إلي الربيع بن نافع أبو توبة وكان في كتابه حدثنا الهيثم بن حميد عن زيد بن واقد عن سليمان بن موسى عن كثير بن مرة
قال رسول الله ﷺ المسر بالقرآن كالمسر بالصدقة والمجهر بالقرآن كالمجهر بالصدقة

Its isnad is sahih. Zayd bin Waqid Qurashi is trustworthy, has narrations in the Sahih, and has already been mentioned previously.The hadith was reported by Abu Dawud, 2/83, no. 1333, Tirmidhi, 5/160, no. 2919, who said, hasan gharib, Nasai, 5/80, no. 2561, and Ibn Hibban, 171, no. 658, Mawarid.
