I was with Amr bin As in Alexandria when the people there spoke about the comfortable life they were enjoying. A man from among the Companions said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away while his family had not eaten their fill of ghalith bread."Musa explained that ghalith refers to barley and salt-wheat mixed together.

كنت عند عمرو بن العاص بالإسكندرية فذكروا ما هم فيه من العيش فقال رجل من الصحابة لقد توفي رسول الله ﷺ وما شبع أهله من الخبز الغليث قال موسى يعني الشعير والسلت إذا خلطا
Its isnad is sahih. Its narrators are trustworthy and have been mentioned previously. Haythami said in 10/314, "Its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih."
