Abdullah bin Harith reported,

He related to him that he passed by, along with a companion of his, where Ayman and a group from Quraysh had untied their lower garments and were using them as twisted whips, striking one another with them while naked.Abdullah said, "When we passed by them, they said, 'These men are like priests, so leave them alone.' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out upon them, and when they saw him, they scattered. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned in anger and entered the house. I was behind the chamber, and I heard him say, 'Glory be to Allah! They felt no shame before Allah, nor did they conceal themselves from His Messenger.'"Umm Ayman was with him and said, "Messenger of Allah, ask forgiveness for them."Abdullah said, "He responded, 'Only with great reluctance will I ask forgiveness for them.'"Abdullah said, "I heard this from Harun."
