The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came as a guest to Ubayy, or Ubayy said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, "Come and stay with me." So he went to him, and Ubayy brought him some food, or some hays. He ate, then Ubayy brought him a drink and he drank. Then he passed it to the person on his right.Whenever he ate dates, he would toss aside the pits. Shuba demonstrated that he placed the pit on his index and middle fingers, then flicked it away.Ubayy said to him, "Messenger of Allah, supplicate for us."He said, "O Allah, bless for them what You have provided them, forgive them, and have mercy on them."
حدثنا بهز حدثنا شعبة أخبرني يزيد بن خمير قال سمعت
نزل رسول الله ﷺ على أبي أو قال أبي لرسول الله ﷺ انزل علي قال فنزل عليه فأتاه بطعام أو بحيس قال فأكل ثم أتاه بشراب قال فشرب قال ثم ناول من عن يمينه قال وكان إذا أكل ألقى النواة وصف شعبة أنه وضع النواة على السبابة والوسطى ثم رمى بها فقال له أبي يا رسول الله ادع لنا فقال اللهم بارك لهم فيما رزقتهم واغفر لهم وارحمهم
