The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Among the best of your names are Abdullah and Abdul-Rahman."
حدثنا وكيع حدثنا أبي عن أبي إسحاق
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إن من خير أسمائكم عبد الله وعبد الرحمن
Its isnad is sahih, like the one before it. The hadith was narrated by Muslim, 3/1682, no. 2132, in the Book of Manners, "The Prohibition of Using Abu Qasim as a Kunya, and What Names Are Recommended," and by Abu Dawud, 4/287, no. 4949, in the Book of Manners, "On Changing Names," where he said, hasan gharib, and by Ibn Majah, 2/1229, no. 3728, and by Darimi, 2/38, no. 2695, in the Book of Seeking Permission.
