Suraqa bin Malik reported,

A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during his illness and asked, "Tell me, if a stray animal comes to the watering trough of my camels, will I be rewarded for giving it to drink?"He replied, "Yes, there is reward in giving water to every thirsty creature."
