We asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for three concessions, and he granted us none of them.We said, "Our land is a cold land," and we asked him to grant us a concession regarding purification, but he granted us none. We asked him to grant us a concession regarding gourd vessels, and he would not allow it for even a moment. And we asked him to return Abu Bakra to us, but he refused, saying, "He is one whom Allah has set free and whom His Messenger has set free."Abu Bakra had gone out to the Prophet ﷺ when he was besieging Taif, and he accepted Islam.
