Fadl bin Abbas reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Prayer is in pairs of two units. You give the testimony after every two units, and you display humility, reverence, and stillness. Then you cup your hands," meaning you raise them toward your Lord with their palms facing your face, "and you say, 'My Lord, my Lord, my Lord' three times. Whoever does not do this, his prayer is deficient."Abu Abdul-Rahman said, "This, in my view, is the correct version."

عن رسول الله ﷺ قال الصلاة مثنى مثنى تشهد في كل ركعتين وتضرع وتخشع وتساكن ثم تقنع يديك يقول ترفعهما إلى ربك عز وجل مستقبلا ببطونهما وجهك وتقول يا رب يا رب ثلاثا فمن لم يفعل ذلك فهي خداج قال أبو عبد الرحمن هذا هو عندي الصواب
