The Prophet ﷺ said, "The sin of two people who insult each other falls upon the one who started it, as long as the one wronged does not retaliate excessively."Affan said, "Or until the wronged one retaliates."
حدثنا بهز وعفان قالا حدثنا همام قال عفان في حديثه حدثنا قتادة عن يزيد أخي مطرف
أن النبي ﷺ قال إثم المستبين ما قالا فعلى البادئ ما لم يعتد قال عفان أو حتى يعتدي المظلوم
