Zayd bin Haritha reported,

The Prophet ﷺ reported that Jibreel came to him at the very beginning of revelation and taught him how to perform ablution and pray. When he finished the ablution, he took a handful of water and sprinkled it on his private area.

عن النبي ﷺ أن جبريل عليه السلام أتاه في أول ما أوحي إليه فعلمه الوضوء والصلاة فلما فرغ من الوضوء أخذ غرفة من ماء فنضح بها فرجه
