Habib bin Maslama reported,

I witnessed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ grant a quarter of the spoils as additional reward on the outward expedition and a third on the return.Abu Abdul-Rahman said, I heard my father say, "There is no man in Syria whose hadith is sounder than Saeed bin Abdul-Aziz," meaning al-Tanukhi.
