Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ returned from a journey, the children of his household would be brought out to meet him.He once returned from a journey, and I was the first to be brought to him. He sat me in front of him on his mount. Then one of Fatimah's two sons was brought, either Hasan or Husayn, and he seated him behind. So we entered Medina three together on a single mount.
حدثنا أبو معاوية حدثنا عاصم عن مورق العجلي
كان رسول الله ﷺ إذا قدم من سفر تلقي بالصبيان من أهل بيته قال وإنه قدم مرة من سفر قال فسبق بي إليه قال فحملني بين يديه قال ثم جيء بأحد ابني فاطمة إما حسن وإما حسين فأردفه خلفه قال فدخلنا المدينة ثلاثة على دابة
Its isnad is sahih. Asim is Ibn Sulayman al-Ahwal, and he is trustworthy and firmly reliable. Muwarriq is spelled with damma on the meem, fatha on the waw, and a doubled, kasra-marked raa.Ajli was a trustworthy and devoted successor (tabii). Ibn Hibban said, "He was among the austere worshippers."The hadith was narrated by Muslim, 2:243, through the route of Asim.
