When the verse "So glorify the name of your Lord, the Most Great" [Waqiah 56:74] was revealed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to us, "Place it in your bowing."And when the verse "Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High" [Ala 87:1] was revealed, he said, "Place it in your prostration."
حدثنا أبو عبد الرحمن حدثنا موسى يعني ابن أيوب الغافقي حدثني عمي إياس بن عامر قال سمعت
لما نزلت {فسبح باسم ربك العظيم} قال لنا رسول الله ﷺ اجعلوها في ركوعكم فلما نزلت {سبح اسم ربك الأعلى} قال اجعلوها في سجودكم
Its isnad is sahih. Musa bin Ayub bin Amir Ghafiqi is trustworthy and relied upon, and likewise his uncle Iyas bin Amir Ghafiqi. The hadith is found in Abu Dawud 1/230, no. 869, in the book of prayer, chapter on what a man says in his ruku, and in Ibn Majah 1/287, no. 887.
