A man named Kathir said, "I met Uqba bin Amir and told him that we had neighbors who drank wine."Uqba said, "Leave them alone."Then he came back to him and said, "Shall I not call the police on them?"Uqba said, "Woe to you, leave them alone, for I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'Whoever sees something shameful and conceals it is like one who has revived a buried infant girl from her grave.'"
حدثنا حسن بن موسى وموسى بن داود قالا حدثنا ابن لهيعة حدثنا كعب بن علقمة
يقال له كثير قال لقيت عقبة بن عامر فأخبرته أن لنا جيرانا يشربون الخمر قال دعهم ثم جاءه فقال ألا أدعو عليهم الشرط فقال عقبة ويحك دعهم فإني سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول من رأى عورة فسترها كان كمن أحيا موءودة من قبرها
