Uqba bin Amir reported,

Uqba said, "We used to serve ourselves, and we used to take turns tending the camels among us. My turn to tend the camels came, and I brought them back in the evening. I caught up with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was standing speaking to the people. I caught part of what he was saying, and he was saying, 'There is no one among you who performs ablution and does it thoroughly, then stands and prays two units of prayer, turning to them with his heart and his face, except that Paradise becomes guaranteed for him and he is forgiven.'"Uqba continued, "I said, 'How excellent this is!'Then a speaker in front of me said, 'The one before it was even better, Uqba.'I looked, and there was Umar bin Khattab.I said, 'And what was that, Abu Hafs?'He said, 'Before you arrived, he said, There is no one among you who performs ablution and does it thoroughly, then says, I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone with no partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, except that the eight gates of Paradise are opened for him and he may enter through whichever of them he wishes.'"

عن عقبة بن عامر قال

قال عقبة كنا نخدم أنفسنا وكنا نتداول رعية الإبل بيننا فأصابني رعية الإبل فروحتها بعشي فأدركت رسول الله ﷺ وهو قائم يحدث الناس فأدركت من حديثه وهو يقول ما منكم من أحد يتوضأ فيسبغ الوضوء ثم يقوم فيركع ركعتين يقبل عليهما بقلبه ووجهه إلا وجبت له الجنة وغفر له قال فقلت له ما أجود هذا قال فقال قائل بين يدي التي كان قبلها يا عقبة أجود منها فنظرت فإذا عمر بن الخطاب قال فقلت وما هي يا أبا حفص قال إنه قال قبل أن تأتي ما منكم من أحد يتوضأ فيسبغ الوضوء ثم يقول أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له وأن محمدا عبده ورسوله إلا فتحت له أبواب الجنة الثمانية يدخل من أيها شاء
