The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "These lineages of yours are no grounds for insulting anyone. You are all the children of Adam, like a measure of grain not quite filled to the brim. No one has merit over another except through religion or righteous deeds. It is enough disgrace for a man to be foul-mouthed, vulgar, miserly, and cowardly."
حدثنا قتيبة بن سعيد قال حدثنا ابن لهيعة عن الحارث بن يزيد عن علي بن رباح
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال إن أنسابكم هذه ليست بسباب على أحد وإنما أنتم ولد آدم طف الصاع لم تملئوه ليس لأحد فضل إلا بالدين أو عمل صالح حسب الرجل أن يكون فاحشا بذيا بخيلا جبانا
