The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me out as a collector of zakat, and I asked his permission for us to eat from the charity, and he granted us permission.
حدثنا عتاب بن زياد قال حدثنا عبد الله قال حدثنا ابن لهيعة أخبرني يزيد بن عمرو المعافري عمن سمع
بعثني رسول الله ﷺ ساعيا فاستأذنته أن نأكل من الصدقة فأذن لنا
Its isnad is daif, due to the unknown identity of the narrator from Uqbah, and Haythami said likewise, 3/84.
