The Messenger of Allah ﷺ distributed sacrificial animals among his companions, and Uqba bin Amir received a young goat. He asked the Prophet ﷺ about it, and he said, "Sacrifice it."
حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن هشام الدستوائي قال حدثنا يحيى عن بعجة بن عبد الله
أن رسول الله ﷺ قسم ضحايا بين أصحابه فأصاب عقبة بن عامر جذعة فسأل النبي ﷺ عنها فقال ضح بها
Its chain of transmission is sahih. As for Bujayha, he is Ibn Abdullah bin Badr Juhani, trustworthy, and his hadith appears in the Sahihayn. The hadith was mentioned earlier at 14439, and it is found in Bukhari 10/4, number 5547 (Fath al-Bari), and Muslim 3/1556, number 1965.
