The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Hosting a guest for one night is an obligation. If morning comes and the guest is still at one's doorstep, it becomes a debt owed to him. If he wishes, he may demand it, and if he wishes, he may forgo it."

قال رسول الله ﷺ لليلة الضيف واجبة فإن أصبح بفنائه فهو دين له فإن شاء اقتضى وإن شاء ترك
