Abu Naeem reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said regarding the night of the guest, Abu Naeem said, "It is an obligatory right. If the guest wakes in the morning still in his courtyard, it becomes a debt upon the host. If he wishes, he may claim it, and if he wishes, he may waive it."

حدثنا وكيع وأبو نعيم قالا حدثنا سفيان عن منصور عن الشعبي عن المقدام أبي كريمة قال

أبو نعيم المقدام أبو كريمة الشامي قال

قال رسول الله ﷺ لليلة الضيف قال أبو نعيم حق واجبة فإن أصبح بفنائه فهو دين عليه فإن شاء اقتضى وإن شاء ترك
