The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The wise person is the one who holds himself accountable and works for what comes after death, and the helpless one is he who lets his soul follow its desires while placing false hopes upon Allah."
حدثنا علي بن إسحاق قال أخبرنا عبد الله يعني ابن المبارك قال أخبرنا أبو بكر بن أبي مريم عن ضمرة بن حبيب
قال رسول الله ﷺ الكيس من دان نفسه وعمل لما بعد الموت والعاجز من أتبع نفسه هواها وتمنى على الله
