A man reported,

I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and saw the signs of hunger on his face, so I went to a butcher boy of mine and ordered him to prepare us a meal for five men. Then I invited the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as the fifth of five, and a man followed them.When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reached the door, he said, "This man has followed us. If you wish, you may permit him to enter, otherwise he will go back."I replied, "I permit him."

حدثنا ابن نمير حدثنا الأعمش عن شقيق عن أبي مسعود

عن رجل من الأنصار يكنى أبا شعيب قال

أتيت رسول الله ﷺ فعرفت في وجهه الجوع فأتيت غلاما لي قصابا فأمرته أن يجعل لنا طعاما لخمسة رجال قال ثم دعوت رسول الله ﷺ خامس خمسة وتبعهم رجل فلما بلغ رسول الله ﷺ الباب قال هذا قد تبعنا إن شئت أن تأذن له وإلا رجع فأذن له
