The Prophet ﷺ, accompanied by his uncle Abbas, went out to meet the seventy men of the Ansar at Aqaba beneath the tree. He said, "Let your spokesman speak, but let him keep his address brief, for there are spies of the polytheists watching you, and if they discover your meeting they will expose you."Their spokesman, who was Abu Umama, said, "Muhammad, ask of your Lord whatever you wish, then ask for yourself and your companions whatever you wish, and then tell us what reward we will have from Allah and from you if we do so."He said, "I ask of you, on behalf of my Lord
, that you worship Him and associate nothing with Him. And I ask of you, on behalf of myself and my companions, that you give us shelter, support us, and protect us from what you protect yourselves from."They asked, "And what will we have if we do that?"He said, "You will have Paradise."They said, "Then it is yours."

Its chain of transmission is mursal. Amir is Ibn Sharahil Shaybi, the intermediary between him and the Prophet ﷺ has been omitted, but its chain is sahih. It will come again shortly as a connected hasan narration.
