Abu Umama reported,

We came to him and found him sitting washing himself inside the mosque. He said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When a Muslim performs ablution, sin departs from his hearing, his sight, his hands, and his feet."Then Abu Zabiya came while he was telling us this, and he asked, "What has he been telling you?"We mentioned to him what we had been told.He said, "Indeed, I heard Amr bin Abasa relate it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ," and he added to it. He said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There is no man who spends the night in a state of purity, then wakes during the night and remembers Allah and asks Allah عز وجل for some good from the goods of this world and the next, except that Allah عز وجل grants it to him."
